Which stock and finish should you choose?
14pt is the standard for most businesses: sturdy enough to feel professional without adding cost. 16pt adds noticeable weight and stiffness, and is the better choice if your card will sit alongside competitors' cards at a networking event or in a display holder.
Matte gives a smooth, low-glare surface that reads well and photographs cleanly. Gloss and UV coatings make colours pop and photos look vivid, but they cannot be written on. If your staff hand-write appointment times or notes on the back, ask for a writable (uncoated) reverse side.
Business cards that get kept
The cards that survive the wallet purge are the useful ones. Consider putting something on the back that gives the card a second job: a QR code to your booking page or Google review link, a short service list, a loyalty punch grid, or a map to your store. We can add QR codes for you at no charge.
Keep text at 8pt or larger, leave a safe margin of at least 1/8" from the trim, and avoid thin borders that make any slight trim shift obvious. If you don't have a design, our team can lay one out from your logo and contact details.

Setting up your artwork
- Supply a PDF at 3.75" × 2.25" (3.5" × 2" plus 1/8" bleed on all sides), 300 dpi, CMYK.
- Keep logos and text at least 1/8" inside the trim line.
- Use rich black (C30 M20 Y20 K100) for large black areas; plain K100 for small text.
- Outline or embed all fonts. Sans-serif fonts print more cleanly at small sizes.
- Send us the file first if unsure. We'll check it free and tell you what to fix.

How long do business cards take?
Standard business cards are usually ready for pickup or shipping 2–3 business days after you approve the proof. Rush and next-day service is available on most standard stocks; tell us your deadline when you request a quote.
What is the minimum order?
We print from 100 cards. Price per card drops significantly at 250, 500 and 1,000, so if you will use them within a year, larger quantities are better value.
Can I get different names on cards in the same order?
Yes. Team orders with multiple names on the same design are common. Supply a spreadsheet of names and details and we set up each version.
Can you design my business card?
Yes. Send your logo and the text you want on the card and we'll lay it out and send a proof. Design is charged as a flat fee, which we include in your quote.
